Overall responsibilities The train driver is responsible for operating the train in a manner that is safe, punctual, and comfortable for passengers. The train driver is responsible for reporting to the Traffic Control Center and Service Center/Operations management any events that could affect passenger safety and the traffic situation overall. Other areas of responsibility Preparation and parking of locomotives and sometimes also passenger cars Supervision during shunting and performing shunting operations, for example inspection of the locomotive, coupling and uncoupling cars, and performing brake tests. Functional and quality checks before the train's departure and during the journey Troubleshooting and simple repairs of traction equipment. Communication with Operations management, Traffic Control Center, and onboard staff. Providing passengers with important information when necessary, either directly or through onboard staff. Personal qualities and skills Good safety awareness and the ability to remain attentive during longer journeys, including at night. Handles unexpected and sudden situations calmly and methodically. Very good ability to recognize passenger needs. Stress-resistant and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to meet schedules and take own initiative in making decisions. Self-driven/proactive, willing to work broadly and also with other tasks within Snälltåget. Good communication skills. Your background Completed train driver training and thus possess a Driver's License. Good knowledge of Swedish and English. Documented experience as a train driver is required. Experience operating passenger trains is a merit, particularly modern Siemens locomotives. Documented training for Denmark, at minimum SR, ORF. Postdoctoral Researcher in Mass Spectrometry for Detection of Oxygenated Radicals in Air
Responsibilities Oxygenated organic radicals are important drivers of chemistry in many systems, such as metabolism in living organisms, polymerization, combustion systems, and the natural environment (Earth's atmosphere). However, few techniques can detect them today. We are seeking a motivated researcher to develop and apply a mass spectrometric technique (proton transfer mass spectrometry, PTr-MS) for detection of individual oxygenated organic radicals in air, within the prestigious European Research Council (ERC) Advanced project EPHEMERAL. The position is distributed as follows: - 20% within SLU Aquaculture, SLU's faculty-wide platform for promoting and coordinating research and education in aquaculture. - 50% National Competence Center for Aquaculture (NKfV), which coordinates education and professional development within Swedish aquaculture and towards Europe. As a coordinator, you will have a central role in supporting and developing aquaculture activities in collaboration with researchers, educators, authorities, and the business sector. The work includes operational coordination and strategic support to steering committees, networks, and development initiatives. Within NKfV, you will work closely with the coordinator at Swemarc, University of Gothenburg. Together, you will be responsible for planning and conducting the national aquaculture conference. The work involves many contacts with stakeholders inside and outside academia and requires strong relationship-building abilities, the capacity to create engagement, and drive activities forward. Job Responsibilities As a teacher in SU2, you teach students in grades 7-9 in a smaller teaching group. You plan, implement, and follow up on instruction based on students' needs, curriculum goals, and the decisions about special support that form the basis for placement. You work in close collaboration with other teachers, teaching assistants, special education specialists, student services, and school leadership. Your role also includes mentoring and contact with guardians, home schools, and other people around the student. An important part of the work is creating instruction that is clear, comprehensible, and possible to participate in.
