WORK TASKS As an urban planner, you will be responsible for both simpler and more complex detailed plans. The assignments vary from urban transformation and densification projects in sensitive locations to projects for the development of socially important services. You will work with planning and implementation issues throughout all stages of the planning process and participate in urban analysis, planning statements, and comprehensive planning. As a project manager, you have great authority to drive your planning projects forward, with support from colleagues and in collaboration with various competencies and stakeholders. By actively working on business development, you contribute to shaping the physical environment and sustainable long-term development within the municipality. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you with relevant higher education, preferably as a physical planner, architect, or landscape architect, or alternatively other qualifications we consider equivalent. You are well-versed in the Planning and Building Act and the planning process and have expertise in detailed plan work. If you have been a project manager in urban development, that is a major plus. Specialized knowledge in GIS, architecture, and design is meritorious, as well as knowledge of the programs Focus detaljplan, Adobe CS, ArcGIS, and SketchUp. You work independently and in a structured manner but are also good at collaborating, which is necessary in more complex planning projects. Good service is important to you. You are responsive and communicative and can take in different perspectives, which is important as your work often involves weighing different interests against each other.
