Job Responsibilities As a teacher in SU2, you teach students in grades 7-9 in a smaller teaching group. You plan, implement, and follow up on instruction based on students' needs, curriculum goals, and the decisions about special support that form the basis for placement. You work in close collaboration with other teachers, teaching assistants, special education specialists, student services, and school leadership. Your role also includes mentoring and contact with guardians, home schools, and other people around the student. An important part of the work is creating instruction that is clear, comprehensible, and possible to participate in. This might involve adapting pace and work methods, creating predictability, promoting language development, establishing functional routines, and finding ways back to learning when a student has lost trust in school or their own abilities. You also contribute to developing SU2 as a program. We want the group to be characterized by shared working methods, clear structure, and close collegial learning. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is a certified teacher with qualifications to teach mathematics, science, and technology in grades 7-9. Experience working with students with ADHD, language disorders, school absenteeism, high stress sensitivity, and need for extensive accommodations is an additional requirement for the position.
