Family Counseling is located in central Halmstad and is part of the Social Administration, Children and Youth Division. We meet daily with couples, families, and individuals during crucial phases of life. The service is an important promotional and preventive function aimed at promoting good family relationships in all their forms and contributing to favorable conditions for children's development. Since Halmstad Municipality has decided to enter into a service agreement regarding municipal family counseling with another municipality, Laholm Municipality, we are now seeking two family counselors for our service. The unit consists of social workers with many years of experience in psychosocial and psychotherapeutic work as well as further education in psychotherapy (at least level 1) and other training. Your Tasks As a family counselor, your task is to help process cohabitation problems and conflicts in family relationships through conversation. This includes crisis intervention, short or longer therapeutic conversations with couples, families, and individuals.
