About the Position
If you are interested and knowledgeable about supply security with a focus on electricity supply, you now have the opportunity to take on a strategic role where you will be involved in developing how actors in the electricity supply sector can increase their preparedness. You will have contact with actors in the electricity supply sector and will be part of a team with broad combined expertise and strong collaboration. We expect you to have extensive experience and a strong interest in societal issues. You will work in a complex context where many different stakeholders have interests in these matters.
As an Electrical Preparedness Specialist, you will work with the following:
- Contribute to developing Sweden's electrical preparedness with support from the Electrical Preparedness Act.
- Handle cases and analyze issues to strengthen the electricity supply sector's ability to manage serious disruptions and heightened preparedness.
- Collaborate with actors in the electricity supply sector, colleagues at Svenska kraftnät, and other actors outside the electricity supply sector.
- Investigate/assess whether measures should be implemented according to the Electrical Preparedness Act and write electrical preparedness decisions as well as respond to consultations.
- Conduct analyses and investigations and prepare decision-making materials within the area of electrical preparedness.
- Participate in the development of internal processes and guidelines and revisions of guidance documents that support external actors in the electricity supply sector.
The position is located in the Electrical Preparedness and Dam Safety unit, which works with the electrical preparedness mission. The unit currently consists of approximately 17 employees and 1 consultant. The unit is divided into two thematic areas: electrical preparedness and dam safety. The unit is part of the Security and Preparedness Department, which has over 100 employees. The position is permanent and located at one of our offices in Sweden (read more about this below).

Education:
You should have academic education in a relevant field, such as political science, law, engineering, or natural sciences, or you have equivalent knowledge acquired in another way that can be assessed as equivalent.
You also have:
- At least 5 years of relevant and current experience working in supply security or similar areas.
- Experience with analysis and/or investigation work.
- Strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
Meritorious
- Experience in developing requirements and governing documents.
- Experience with total defense issues.
- Experience in preparing government decisions.
- Experience working in the public sector.
- Experience in leading collaborative organizations.
- Experience from the electricity supply sector.
Good to Know
- The position is located at our head office in Sundbyberg, or alternatively at one of our offices in Västerås, Gothenburg, Sundsvall, Luleå, or Sollefteå.
- Some possibility of remote work, up to 50% when work tasks permit.
- Travel is part of this position.
