Responsibilities We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher who wants to contribute to the development of the future circular industry through research on innovation, resource flows, and industrial ecosystems. The position offers a unique opportunity to combine scientific research with close collaboration with leading industrial companies in the transition toward more sustainable and resilient value chains. The research focuses on how established companies can develop system-building innovations for circular resource flows and longer product lifespans. Job Responsibilities We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher who wants to contribute to the next generation of energy-efficient and sustainable transport systems through world-class research in tribology and machine elements. Friction losses in vehicle systems still account for a significant portion of global energy consumption. In heavy vehicles alone, approximately 180 billion liters of fuel are consumed annually due to friction, while the transport sector faces significantly stricter climate requirements. The EU's target of 90% reduced CO₂ emissions from new heavy vehicles by 2040 sets entirely new demands for energy efficiency and innovative technical solutions. This project focuses on an often overlooked but highly promising component: grease-lubricated wheel bearing systems. The project aims to develop and implement a systematic and realistic method for evaluating new grease formulations, using a specially designed test rig that will be designed and built specifically for this purpose. The project is conducted in close collaboration with leading actors throughout the entire value chain, including Traton/Scania, Europe's leading grease producer Axel Christiernsson, and KTH. About the Position The EHDS regulation means that a new system and new technical infrastructure must be implemented in each EU country to make health data accessible for secondary use. At the National Board of Health and Welfare, we are preparing for the central role as HDAB (Health Data Access Body) in the new system. Data users will be able to approach HDAB to apply for health data from one or more data holders, and have their application reviewed. Postdoctoral Researcher in Nuclear Power Technology
Job Responsibilities We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on the development of experimental methods for two-phase flows. We aim to develop a probe for measuring void fraction and velocity under prototypical reactor conditions. The work includes developing methods for manufacturing miniature sensors and using these sensors in the HWAT facility. The HWAT facility was developed to study thermohydraulic phenomena relevant to small modular reactors (SMR). The work is part of a collaborative project in Europe and a national project supported by the Swedish Nuclear Power Regulatory Authority (SSM). Qualifications Requirements Completed doctoral degree or foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a doctoral degree. This qualification requirement must be fulfilled by the time the employment decision is made. Doctoral degree in experimental nuclear engineering, micromechanics, sol-gel chemistry, experimental thermohydraulics. Merits At the deadline, no more than three years since completing a doctoral degree or a foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a doctoral degree. Knowledge and experience in experimental investigation of two-phase flows, sol-gel coating, micromechanical manufacturing, high-frequency signal processing.
