Local Planning Unit West consists of approximately 35 employees and has a geographic responsibility area covering Halland County, Västra Götaland County, Värmland County, and Örebro County. The unit's task is to support organizational units in the garrisons of Halmstad, Gothenburg, Skredsvik, Skövde, Såtenäs, Karlsborg, and Kristinehamn with the Armed Forces' infrastructure. LplE is responsible for garrison planning, new/reconstruction (procurement), management (maintenance), and disposal of land and facilities. LplE also supports the headquarters with information for planning and operational assignments and in developing governing documents. Building Inspector for the Building Permit Department

The Building Permit Department consists of six engaged employees and is part of the Environment and Urban Development Administration. The administration currently employs 28 people distributed across three units. We are responsible for building permit processing, environmental and health protection, and geodata matters in the municipality. Operations are regulated by law and guided by a political board, the Environment and Building Board. We are both regulatory authorities and advisors, and we want our organization to be characterized by providing good service to those who live and work in Kristinehamn Municipality. Kristinehamn Municipality has approximately 24,000 residents and is located on the shores of Lake Vänern in Värmland. WORK DUTIES As a building inspector with us, you will have a varied and developing assignment where you combine regulatory authority with service, advice, and community building. You will work with processing building permit cases from start to finish, that is, reviewing and issuing building permits, preliminary decisions, conducting technical consultations, making site visits, holding final consultations, and issuing commencement and completion notices. The position includes some supervisory duties. The work is carried out independently with significant personal responsibility and in cooperation with your colleagues. You make decisions according to delegation. In this role, you have many contact points and are an important representative of the municipality in dialogue with applicants, property owners, businesses, and other stakeholders. You review drawings, make decisions, lead consultation meetings, and present matters to the Environment and Building Board. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a building technology education or other relevant higher education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have good knowledge of planning and building legislation, and a Class B driving license is required. We would appreciate it if you have experience with building permit processing within municipal operations. Since you will be working in close collaboration with your colleagues and will also have considerable contact with the public and business operators, we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You have good communication skills and are able to express yourself well in both speech and writing. You collaborate well with others, build trusting relationships, and at the same time have the ability to work independently and in a structured manner. You plan and prioritize your work efficiently and contribute to development and improvement. Employment Type: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-10-01 or by agreement. About the position As a Documentation Coordinator at Kongsberg Maritime, you'll be the hub of the documentation process within our projects. As a documentation coordinator, you're part of ensuring that documentation in your projects follows correct security classifications and is handled according to the specified classification. When needed, the role may involve creating instructions for user manuals for Kongsberg Maritime's various products. The manuals are structured according to internal standards and ASD S1000D 2.3. Work is conducted in XML-based tools (Ultra, CSDB). We offer thorough introduction and ensure you receive the right support to grow into the role.
