The Environment and Urban Planning Department consists of approximately 26 people and is responsible for environmental and health protection matters, building permit handling, and geodata issues in the municipality. Operations are regulated by laws and governed by a political board, the Environment and Building Board. We are both regulatory authorities and advisors, and we want our organization to be characterized by providing good service to those who live and work in Kristinehamn Municipality. Your position will be part of the Environmental and Health Protection Unit, which consists of 10 dedicated inspectors and an environmental manager. WORK DUTIES We are now looking for a dedicated employee who wants to strengthen our team within food control. In this role, you will primarily work with inspection and handling according to food legislation. Work duties include, among other things, inspection of food businesses and drinking water facilities as well as case handling in this area. An important part of the work is to provide information and guidance to private individuals and companies based on current legislation. You also have contact with operators and other stakeholders and work to ensure that legislative requirements are met. The position may also include some supervision and case handling within the scope of the Environmental Code. The content of the position can be adapted to some extent based on your competence, experience, and the needs of the operation. QUALIFICATIONS • Education in environmental and health protection with a focus on food or other education that the employer deems equivalent • Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing • Class B driver's license. We consider it an advantage if you have experience with supervision in municipal operations.
