Mechanical Design Engineer – Concept and Structural development

Do you want to work with the load-bearing structures of the future within aerospace or hydrogen applications? NITIU works in the critical gap between advanced computation and industrial realization. Together with partners such as Saab, Volvo and Alleima, they develop technical solutions and advanced, ultra-lightweight and load-bearing structures that not only need to function in the model but also be industrializable. The Role You work in an early and decisive stage of the development chain, where fundamental principles are set and where small decisions have a major impact on the final product. You work closely with experienced colleagues and, depending on your experience, take a more supporting or driving role in the development of calculation models and simulations for optimization of load-bearing structures. Your work has direct consequences for how solutions can be industrialized. You will, among other things: · Contribute to and/or drive the development of FEM and CAD models · Explore and evaluate different conceptual solutions using structural mechanics simulations · Ensure that concepts not only meet theoretical requirements, but also suit the chosen manufacturing methods · Contribute to methods that make advanced technology possible to scale · Work closely with industrial partners where theory meets real requirements Your Background We are looking for you who have a degree in mechanical engineering and who have a strong interest in calculation, design and technical problem-solving. Good language skills in Swedish and English are a requirement, as is Swedish citizenship. You may be at the beginning of your career or have several years of experience – what is important is that you want to work on complex problems where your analysis has real impact. For those at the beginning of your career, there are good opportunities to develop quickly in close collaboration with experienced colleagues. For those with more experience, there is an opportunity to take greater responsibility in more complex issues and contribute your expertise in the development of both solutions and working methods. Our Offer The company as a whole currently consists of a tight team of eleven curious and committed engineers who always work as a team to solve challenges, often together with partners from various industries and universities. Working at NITIU means you get to use the full range of your knowledge, innovation and experience. We value different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives and believe that diversity makes our technology better. You don't need to know everything from the start – what matters most is curiosity, collaboration and the desire to learn. No two days are the same and the company humbly and proudly cherishes its knowledge capital and ability to be at the forefront of its technology by being agile and nimble. Welcome to show interest in becoming part of the "NITIU team"! We conduct ongoing selection, so the position may be filled before the final application deadline. NITIU's business idea is to develop one of the world's strongest macrostructures. The structure gives our customers a competitive advantage as load-bearing parts in their products use less material or bear more load. By manufacturing the structure from 100% recycled material and manufacturing with 100% green energy, we also contribute to achieving our global environmental goals.
