About the Operations Ambulance care has a regional mission and consists of five ambulance stations, three satellite stations operated by Region Västernorrland, and three privately operated ambulance stations. The operations employ approximately 200 staff distributed across five region-operated units, each led by a unit manager, and three contracted units. The operations are responsible for prehospital care, which includes assessment and treatment of acutely ill and injured patients of all ages and with all types of medical conditions and injuries before hospital care. Ambulance services handle approximately 36,000 assignments per year. The operations maintain important interfaces and collaborations with SOS Alarm, emergency departments, care units, primary care, psychiatric care, national and municipal emergency services, social services, municipal care and elderly care, and police. The two ambulance stations in Härnösand and Kramfors currently employ approximately 55 specialist nurses, nurses, and nursing assistants (ambulance paramedics). The stations currently operate four ambulances around the clock; for fall/spring, an expansion with one patient transport resource is planned, which together handle approximately 7,000 assignments per year. We are now expanding operations with an entirely new role as assistant unit manager, who will work together with our regular unit managers to plan, organize, and lead work at the unit. This position involves shared duties at both stations, Härnösand and Kramfors. As assistant unit manager, you report directly to the unit managers. This is a permanent position in the base profession, and the management appointment is time-limited according to the Region's leadership policy.
