Accounting Economist for Government Agency

About the Position We are now recruiting an Accounting Economist for a government agency in Stockholm. For this role, we are looking for someone with experience in government accounting and familiarity with the systems U4 Agresso and Proceedo. In this role, you will have a central function in the finance department where you contribute to the agency's ongoing accounting work and financial closing processes in a professional and socially beneficial environment. The duties of the position include: -Work in U4 Agresso, Proceedo -Work with accounting and bookkeeping such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, travel expenses, advances, time tracking, and incoming and outgoing payments -General ledger accounting, cash and bank reconciliations -Work with reconciliations, troubleshooting and controls -Work with monthly closing, annual closing and period closing. There is a possibility of extension. The work is performed at the agency's premises in Stockholm, with the possibility of remote work up to two days per week by agreement. Requirements for the Position: • University education in economics or equivalent education (for example, vocational university) and at least five (5) years of professional experience from similar work. • Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent • Good knowledge of the accounting systems U4 Agresso and Proceedo • Experience with government accounting • Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. About the position As Section Chief for Operations Common, you are responsible for leading and developing an operation with significant importance for the operation of Sweden's electricity system.
