We're looking for someone who wants to take a central role in coordinating the implementation of demand flexibility and contribute to an increased holistic perspective and implementation in the electricity market that creates value for Sweden. About the Position As a Demand Flexibility Coordinator within the Electricity Market division, you will have an important role in coordinating the implementation of the European network code in this area. Initially, the focus is on structuring, planning, and following up on the work as well as managing dependencies between initiatives and actors. This also involves contributing to work on interpreting relevant legislation, promoting cohesive implementation in line with Svenska kraftnät's strategy, and identifying and raising risks and challenges. You will collaborate broadly, both internally and externally, for example with electricity market actors and other system operators (TSOs). The position involves work at the interface between regulations, market models, and actor roles. As implementation progresses, the role will include more analysis and investigation work related to the design of the balancing market and incentive structures. Key Responsibilities Responsible for coordinating the implementation of the network code for demand flexibility (NC DR). Establish working methods and create structure for responsibility, processes, and collaboration. Collaborate broadly internally and with other Nordic and European system operators, and actively establish and develop networks of contacts. Communicate and visualize work and results, both internally and externally. Represent the organization in various forums and working groups within the demand flexibility area. Investigate and analyze work on substantive issues related to electricity market roles and functions. You will become part of the Balancing Model Unit – an engaged team of nine employees with high expertise and close collaboration. Together, we work on developing and shaping regulations, roles, and incentives for efficient and robust balancing of the electricity system in close cooperation with actors in Sweden, the Nordic region, and Europe. The unit is responsible for central parts of the electricity market, such as terms and agreements for market actors, implementation of EU regulations, and related preparedness issues. We also drive work with incentive models and analyses related to cost allocation. About You Required Qualifications: We're looking for someone who can create structure and drive work forward in complex contexts with many dependencies. You plan and organize work and follow up on activities in a systematic manner. The role involves many contact points and requires responsiveness, good collaboration skills, and the ability to build trust. You communicate clearly and contribute ideas and solutions in dialogue with others. You also have an analytical ability that allows you to handle complex information, see connections, and contribute to well-founded decisions. Further, you have an academic education in engineering, economics, law, or social sciences. You also have: Multiple years of experience working with electricity market-related issues, with good understanding of actors' market incentives. Knowledge of and good understanding of the electricity system and its components, for example the power system and electricity market. Very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and good communication skills to adapt messages to the target audience. It is meritorious if you have: Experience leading and coordinating activities, for example by leading projects or working groups. Experience working with legal frameworks, preferably within balancing and electricity markets. Experience structuring, streamlining, and simplifying processes.
