JOB

Preschool Teacher at Lillsjön Preschool

Do you have a genuine interest in children's learning and development? Are you looking for a meaningful job with opportunities for professional growth? We create conditions for children's desire to learn and opportunity to succeed. Welcome to shape the future with us - lifelong learning begins in preschool! About the Organization Come work with us toward a sustainable future! Lillsjön Preschool opened in the fall of 2022 and is now seeking more dedicated preschool teachers who want to develop in their professional role. Our preschool has sustainability as its profile and we are driven by the opportunity to create positive hope for the future in children. We want to strengthen and challenge their sustainable competencies and interests with support from our profile and all parts of the curriculum. Working with children's influence through an approach of respect and curiosity is important. Children are tomorrow's problem solvers, so educators need to think both in the here and now while also thinking ahead. We want to be challenged by the children and by each other so that together we dare to try and think in new ways. Together we create a workplace with sustainability in focus, where everyone—both adults and children—thrive and develop together. Job Responsibilities Your task as a preschool teacher is to work together with the team to create the best conditions for children's development and learning. We work in three teams distributed across six units, which increases our flexibility opportunities. We have assigned responsibility tasks that concern the entire preschool, and various groups to keep both individual and preschool development moving forward. You are responsible for teaching and ensuring that children's learning and development are documented, monitored, and analyzed. You actively work to promote children's ability to be involved and exercise influence over their education by taking advantage of their views, opinions, and needs. You have designated pedagogical development time built into your schedule, both for reflection with the work team and individual planning, as well as collaborative learning in cross-functional groups. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has a preschool teacher certification and a great sense of discovery to be able to give our children the best possible educational start in lifelong learning. Whether you are newly qualified or have worked for many years, you are warmly welcome to apply. At Lillsjön, a positive and engaged team works together with diverse competencies and interests, and we take advantage of our differences to learn more together. Development moves quickly—the world children meet and live in today will look completely different when they are adults. As an adult role model, you don't need to know or be able to do everything; together with the children you discover new paths with the help of didactic questions: what, how, and why. We look forward to meeting you—someone who enjoys taking personal responsibility, wants to develop, and helps drive the operation forward in accordance with our profile, the curriculum, and the City of Borås's governing documents. You have a positive outlook, a reflective working method, and work with curious respect for the children, their independence, and influence. To create trusting relationships, it is important that everyone here has an engaged and positive attitude toward all people we meet at the preschool. The position is filled subject to the required decisions being made. Application Submit your application with attached documents through our application function, which you can access via the Apply for Job button below. If you have protected personal information, you should not submit your application here. Instead, contact the recruiting manager. Contact information is provided in the job posting. Also, do not provide references with protected identity. Please note that applications become public records according to the principle of public access. Other Information Within the Preschool Administration, we offer free educational lunches, work clothes, and as a preschool teacher you also have on average five hours of planning time per week. We also offer a trained mentor if you are new to the profession, as well as opportunities for further education and collaborative learning. Read more about us and what it's like to work in preschool! Within the City of Borås, we want to create conditions for a good balance between work and leisure. In addition to meaningful work tasks, good working conditions, and professional colleagues, we offer employee benefits so that you as an employee can thrive and feel good, both physically and mentally. The City of Borås also maintains smoke-free work time. If you want to know more about our benefits, you can read more at compensation and benefits. The City of Borås conducts background checks when there is statutory authority or a clear legal basis. If you are offered employment, you may therefore need to provide a copy from the criminal record and suspicion register.
