Meal Service prepares and serves approximately 7,000 meals every day to preschools, primary schools, upper secondary schools, elderly care, home services, and daily activities. We also manage the café operations in City Hall, where we serve breakfast and lunch to the city's employees and visitors. As a meal service assistant with us, you work together with chefs and other meal service assistants in one of our production kitchens. You contribute to maintaining high quality in our meals and ensure the kitchen functions well through close collaboration with your colleagues. The role includes common tasks in a large kitchen, such as salad preparation, goods receiving and unpacking, ordering, self-inspection, dishwashing, as well as cleaning and sanitizing. You may also assist chefs with simple cooking. We are looking for someone with work experience from restaurants or large-scale food service operations and relevant training in restaurants, large kitchens, or food service, or alternatively other equivalent training combined with several years of work experience. You have good computer skills and feel comfortable working with digital systems. In this position, we use systems for self-inspection and food waste measurement, and you need to be able to access information and instructions communicated via email and Teams.
