A street maintenance worker is a person who performs various types of maintenance and repair work on streets, roads, sidewalks, parking lots, bike paths, parks, and other public spaces. A street maintenance worker typically works outdoors in all weather conditions and may need to use various machines, vehicles, and tools. Work duties may include: Winter work, snow removal, sanding slippery surfaces, filling potholes. Minor service work such as installing trash cans, etc. Inspection work and winter preparations may be included. Reporting of self-inspections, personal logs, deviations, and workplace safety observations. Participation in planning and feedback to management. Operating machines. Cleaning work such as graffiti removal. Laying asphalt or concrete on road surfaces, sidewalks, parking lots, and bike paths. Installing curbs and street stones or laying stone and concrete slabs on walking and driving surfaces. Installing playground equipment, stairs, and retaining walls as well as railings, signs, and other road markings. We expect you to have the ability to take your own initiative and to be able to plan, execute, drive, and prioritize work tasks independently. Being organized and structured is a given for you. Good computer skills and a Class B driver's license are required. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. On-call duty is part of the position. Requirements: Minimum Class B driver's license Fluent Swedish Machine experience/operation Meritorious: CPR - defibrillator and first aid basics Good physical fitness Vocational certificate in construction work Economical driving Chainsaw operation Excavator certificate Work on road 1.3 Safe lifting Hot work The position may be filled before the final application deadline.
