Welcome to us The Adult Services Unit consists of 12 social workers who work with substance abuse, addiction and relationship violence, 7 case managers, 1 housing coordinator, 2 eviction prevention specialists, 1 housing liaison officer, 2 group leaders, and 1 unit manager. The unit is part of the adult services area together with financial assistance. Collaboration is an important part of achieving our goals and we work continuously to improve it. We are now looking for an engaged case manager with an interest in working with people living with co-occurring disorders. Your role Case Management is an intervention with a coordinating function that aims for individuals with co-occurring disorders to be able to live as independently as possible. You serve as support in contact with social services and other collaboration partners such as psychiatry and addiction care. Work tasks: Support and follow up those who have support in the form of training or trial housing Outreach social work for users with co-occurring disorders Work to implement the assignment that has been developed together with social workers and users Identify and map the needs the user has to move forward in the rehabilitation process Work as a case manager involves much work outside the office. You work in an outreach capacity and often meet users in their home environment or at the housing and facilities where they are located. Work in the evenings may occur. Your competence and experience The position requires: Degree in social work or equivalent Knowledge of substance abuse, psychiatry, neurodevelopmental disorders, and cognitive disabilities. Meritorious: Education in case management Experience working as a case manager Training in MI We are looking for someone who is flexible and can adapt to changing circumstances. You stay calm in pressured situations and are persistent even when facing setbacks. As someone who takes initiative, you make things happen and with an open and collaborative approach you contribute to good dialogue. You are clear in your communication and ensure that messages get through. Great weight will be placed on your personal suitability. Our mission is to help those who are affected by or perpetrate intimate partner violence, individuals with substance abuse or gambling issues, and those who want to leave a criminal lifestyle. Here you will have the opportunity to be part of a team that makes a real difference. The unit is part of the Adult Area together with the Economic Assistance Unit. Through close collaboration within the area, we strive to create common working methods that benefit our clients. The unit consists of 12 social workers working with harmful use, substance abuse and intimate partner violence, 7 case managers, 1 housing coordinator, 2 eviction prevention specialists, 1 housing coordinator, 2 group leaders, and 1 unit manager. The administrative office with citizen service center is located at Skärholmen centrum with proximity to the subway and shopping mall with a wide range of restaurants, cafés, and shops. Your role You will work with statutory authority and provide practical support to individuals who are victims of intimate partner violence, as well as with perpetrators of violence. Our goal is to work closely with the individual to support and find sustainable solutions where the person's own resources are utilized. To succeed with this, collaboration, both internally with colleagues and externally with other actors, is a central part of your work. We have close management and short decision-making channels, which means you can quickly get support and make decisions in your work. Engagement and respect are central to our work, and we actively work with Motivational Interviewing (MI). On the unit, there are MI coaches with regular meetings. As a new employee, you will receive an individual introduction plan and a mentor who will support you in your assignment. To support you in your work, we have regular case reviews both in groups and individually, as well as external supervision. The majority of your work consists of practical support. This can include many different tasks such as housing guidance, accompanying clients to authorities, short assessments for placement in protected housing, and writing certificates for example for priority access to housing assistance. You will also be involved in helping abuse victims find housing. Skärholmen has in recent years focused particularly on the housing situation of abuse victims as a way to improve opportunities to live an independent life free from violence. Your competence and experience We are looking for someone who has A degree in social work or equivalent. Experience working with intimate partner violence, honor-related violence and oppression within social services. Good ability to express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish. It is advantageous if you have Training in MI. Training in FREDA. Work on the Adult Unit is characterized by complexity, collaboration, and an ability to meet people in vulnerable life situations without taking on their feelings or responsibility.
