Industrial Electrician at Perstorp Specialty Chemicals

Do you want to work with electrical maintenance in a complex and safety-focused industrial environment where your expertise makes a real difference every day? We are now looking for an electrician with a focus on industrial maintenance for our maintenance department in Perstorp. With us, you will be an important part of the maintenance organization at a chemical process industry where operational reliability, safety, and continuous improvements are at the center. As an electrician, you report to the Maintenance Manager for Electrical & Instrumentation and are part of a dedicated team within electrical and instrument maintenance. The role is broad and varied, with work tasks related to maintenance, projects, facility management, and improvement work in our process facilities and support functions. About the Role In this role, you work with both preventive and corrective electrical maintenance. You help ensure that our facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable requirements. Your day-to-day work consists of planned work, acute troubleshooting, installations, commissioning, and improvements related to both process and safety. Your main responsibilities will include: Coordinate, plan, prepare, and perform electrical maintenance in process facilities. Work with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and acute measures. Assist with commissioning, sign-off, and pre-startup inspections. Participate in improvement work related to maintenance processes, instructions, operational reliability, and work environment. Support cost estimation and, when needed, plan procurement. Actively contribute to safety work with a focus on work environment, personal safety, and external environment. Document and follow up work in our maintenance system SAP. Beyond this, work also includes various types of PLCs and control systems. The position includes on-call duty according to schedule. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with secondary education in electrical engineering or equivalent relevant work experience. You have several years of experience as an electrician, industrial electrician, or from work with industrial or facility maintenance. To thrive in this role, we believe you are someone who works in a structured and methodical way, with a strong safety mindset and good organizational skills. You are thorough, take responsibility, and think through the consequences before you act. At the same time, you are solution-oriented, proactive, and enjoy working closely with operations personnel, projects, contractors, and other professional groups. We would like to see that you have experience with or knowledge of any of the following: Industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting in process environments. Electrical distribution, electrical installation rules, and applicable standards. High-voltage systems. SSG, ESA, ATEX, or similar industrial requirements. SAP or other maintenance systems. SAP experience is a merit, but not a requirement. A driver's license (category B) is required for this position. Working hours are daytime, and on-call duty is included according to schedule. Since Perstorp Specialty Chemicals has zero tolerance for alcohol and drug impairment during work hours, alcohol and drug testing before employment is mandatory.
