We are seeking registered nurses who want to work with us in specialized palliative inpatient care. The Palliative Care Unit PAVA is a department within the Surgery division at Östersund Hospital. PAVA has 8 beds for specialized palliative inpatient care for patients within the Surgery division (orthopedics, women's clinic, eye/ear and surgery). At PAVA you will meet patients with palliative care needs and their loved ones. Care is delivered using a person-centered approach and work is conducted in teams with nursing assistants, physicians, and social workers. The team also includes occupational therapists, physical therapists, and dietitians. In your daily work, you will be responsible for the care of four patients together with two nursing assistants. As an employee, you will be involved in developing palliative inpatient care in the Jämtland-Härjedalen region together with the unit's nurse manager and staff from the specialized palliative home care unit Storsjögläntan. PAVA operates 24/7 and you will work night shifts by agreement. Weekend duty is scheduled for two weekends in five weeks.
