The main goal of palliative care is to relieve physical pain and provide support when the disease is incurable, as well as offer psychological, social, and existential support to the patient and their loved ones. The purpose of care is to help the patient achieve the best possible quality of life at the end of life while neither accelerating nor postponing death.
