Principal
The Klinte school district encompasses Klinte School and Sanda School. Klinte School is an F-9 school and Sanda is an F-3 school. The district has a total of approximately 360 students and approximately 55 staff members.
Klinte School is located in Klintehamn with beautiful green spaces surrounding it. The school serves students from the southwestern part of the island where there is a mixed socioeconomic population.
Your Responsibilities
As principal, you are responsible for achieving results through meeting goals, business development, budget and finances within the school district. You actively work to keep the school operations within budget and lead the school's development based on the curriculum goals and municipal decisions about school operations. In this role, you coach and lead staff in pedagogical development work and create conditions for safe and high-quality education for students.
You are responsible for students and staff within the school district and view collaboration in its various forms as a central part of leadership, where workplace environment issues play an important role. You lead and organize student support services at the school and collaborate closely with other principals within the school system. The position also includes representing the school in various collaborations and development forums. You report directly to the Head of Primary Education and work together with assistant principals and staff to develop operations and strengthen student achievement.
Who Are You?
We are looking for you who have a teaching degree and valid teacher certification as well as principal training. You have a B driver's license and access to your own car. The position requires good knowledge of school legislation and school governance documents. You have experience as a school leader with responsibility for pedagogical operations, staff, finances and business development, which has given you a good understanding of the school's mission and daily operations.
We are looking for a confident and engaged leader with good self-awareness who acts with good judgment and has the ability to read situations and contexts. You take responsibility for your assignment and drive operations forward with a clear focus on goals, quality and results.
As a leader, you are present and create conditions for participation. You build trusting relationships, promote collaboration and lead in a way that creates engagement, responsibility and shared direction.
You have a structured approach where you plan, prioritize and follow up on what needs to be done, while maintaining flexibility and adapting to operational needs. You have a holistic perspective and make well-considered prioritizations where the best interests of the organization are always in focus.
