Gotland is a fantastically beautiful island that nourishes the whole person. The pastorate is located on the western part of the island. Here you will find everything you need to live a good life. Klinte pastorate has nine parishes and the central town is Klintehamn, nine medieval churches and cemeteries, a centrally located chapel, and approximately 2,600 church members. Klinte pastorate is seeking a parish priest with breadth, curiosity, and commitment. We are looking for someone called to all aspects of parish life, not least the diaconal work. In addition to traditional tasks such as conducting services, baptisms, weddings, funerals, and confirmation classes, we would very much like you to be passionate about diaconal work. We seek a priest who can both step into the pulpit and step down into people's lives – with attentiveness and courage. At Klinte pastorate, you will find a musically and culturally interested team that enjoys their work and each other. For example, we organize highly appreciated Christmas and Easter walks for elementary school students. We are currently starting up a church center in Klintehamn with our Hamnkyrka and the adjacent Kyrkvilla. Already now, children's choirs and adult choirs practice there, "klucku tei" activities and youth programs are held. The vision for the future is a meeting place for everyone. We would like to see that you: ¤ have a desire to develop and drive the parish's life together with staff and volunteers. ¤ are confident leading services and meeting people in all life stages. ¤ help strengthen the church's presence in society. ¤ want to be a constructive part of a team with engaged and knowledgeable colleagues. ¤ enjoy working both in groups and individually, are flexible, and have good collaboration skills. ¤ have the ability to empower others and highlight the work of volunteers. ¤ are comfortable with computers and are good at expressing yourself in speech and writing. Working hours are scheduled for both daytime and evening hours, weekdays and weekends, and occasional retreats. A driver's license and own car are required for this position. We expect that you share the values of the Swedish Church and are, of course, ordained as a priest. Applications from non-ordained individuals will not be processed. Start date by agreement.
