The Education Department is responsible for the municipality's childcare and educational activities from preschool and after-school programs to preschool class, primary school, and adapted school. Närlundaskolan is the municipality's largest school, beautifully located in the city of Askersund, with proximity to both forests and lakes. The school is an F-6 school with approximately 430 students and two after-school care departments, Blue and Green. The school buildings and schoolyard are newly built/renovated with a focus on a good learning environment for both students and staff. The color scheme in different parts of the school creates a sense of security and makes it easy for students to orient themselves. The school has a large, pleasant schoolyard with green spaces, forest areas, and playgrounds. At Närlundaskolan, students are at the center and we work to create a safe and inclusive environment where every student can grow and develop. A school with many possibilities, opened in 2023. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for a Principal who leads the operations in close collaboration with staff and students. Develops through school improvement together. You take overall responsibility for operations, staff, finances, and work environment. You are part of the department's management group. As principal, you have overall pedagogical responsibility and lead the operations based on the school's governing documents. You are responsible for the school's quality and development and for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for students and staff. The role includes leading and developing based on school improvement together and driving systematic quality work. The school is engaged in active school improvement work focusing on collegial learning, quality of instruction, and student participation. Through joint learning and close collaboration between the school's professionals, we develop our operations to create the best conditions for student learning and wellbeing. QUALIFICATIONS Pedagogical university degree School leadership experience Principal program The position requires a class B driver's license, where access to your own car is desirable.
