Treatment Assistant/Social Pedagogue

Framsteget Unga is a small residential care facility with a family atmosphere that serves boys ages 14-17. We offer treatment, opportunities for schooling/internships, recreational activities, parent support, and assessments when needed. We have space for eight young people placed by social services under the Social Services Act (SoL) or the Care of Young Persons (LVU) Act. Placements may result from relationship issues, diagnoses, trauma, and/or other difficulties that have led to various forms of behavioral problems. Framsteget Unga works using methods such as CBT, 12-step programs, A-CRA, Criminality as a Lifestyle, and environmental therapy. We are beautifully situated in Åsbro in Askersunds municipality. We are now seeking a social pedagogue/treatment assistant. The position involves irregular scheduling with day/evening/weekend shifts and overnight on-call duties. In your work, you will help create a safe and predictable daily routine for the young people. You will support them with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, hygiene, shopping, etc. You will also support them in maintaining functioning schooling (based on individual circumstances) and ensure that any healthcare needs are met. As a treatment assistant, you play an important role in supporting meaningful and active leisure activities. You work based on the social services mandate, which is defined in care and implementation plans. Your work is carried out in accordance with the facility's established policies and procedures, and you apply the given approaches and methods. Your work also includes documentation in the facility's documentation system. You work in a team with dedicated colleagues, and with your combined expertise, you have the opportunity to achieve good results. A police clearance certificate and a Class B driver's license are required for this position.
