Midwife

Visby Hospital's maternity and postpartum ward is a small unit that puts the patient at the center. We have excellent camaraderie and a family-oriented culture with good pair care, a cohesive care chain, and high continuity. Our obstetrics and gynecology operations include delivery, postpartum care, and gynecological services where we work very closely together. We offer both 3-shift and 2-shift work arrangements in accordance with current labor agreements. As an employee, you are important to us, which is why we like to put you at the center so you can put the patient at the center. We strive for a positive work environment and high standards with personal development and openness as our goals. Your Responsibilities As a licensed midwife with us, you will work with deliveries, postpartum care, and to some extent gynecological patients. You will manage both normal and complicated deliveries and work in a team with nursing assistants and physicians. We aim for high presence in the delivery room, following the principle of "one laboring woman - one midwife" so that together we can create a good birth experience for the family. During the postpartum period, you will support the parents together with a nursing assistant in their new roles as parents, with a strong focus on zero separation, skin-to-skin contact, and breastfeeding. In the gynecological ward, we primarily care for sick and post-operative patients, as well as those undergoing terminations and antepartum patients. This work is primarily handled by our nurses, but midwives fill in during their absence. On Gotland, you get time with the laboring woman - which provides security for her and is a strength of our unit. Who Are You? You are a licensed midwife. We are looking for someone who is relatively new to the role of midwife or someone who is already confident in your professional role as a midwife. You have some experience with postpartum care and preferably also from work on a gynecological ward. It is a merit if you also have experience with parent education programs in some form. You have a receptive and humble approach, and you enjoy working collaboratively with families and have a good ability to cooperate both internally and across boundaries with other units. We value a genuine interest in working within women's health and gynecological care and the initiative to further develop this field. If you are also positive and curious about change, we believe you could be one of our new colleagues. Why Choose Region Gotland? We are the island's largest employer – with over 200 different professions and over 6,800 employees in Sweden's only combined region and municipality. Together, we are developing a sustainable, secure, and thriving Gotland for everyone who lives on and visits the island. Sanitation Driver Visby City Center

Do you want a meaningful job in a unique environment? We are now seeking several dedicated sanitation drivers who want to make a real difference every day. If you are passionate about the environment and recycling and want to work in an operation where your efforts contribute to a more sustainable Gotland, then this job is for you. At Region Gotland's waste management department, waste becomes a resource. Our operation is driven by the vision "Together we reduce waste" and we work according to the waste hierarchy, where the focus is on preventing, reusing, and recycling. This means that we don't just collect garbage—we're an important part of the circular transition on the island. Right now, we are facing several exciting initiatives related to environmental work, customer service, and the development of smart waste solutions, and we hope that you want to contribute to that development. As a sanitation driver, you will have varied and qualified work where you work closely with colleagues, technology, and residents. You will be part of the unit for ÅVC and sludge, which consists of approximately 30 employees, two supervisors, and a unit manager to whom you report. Here you will be met with a welcoming work environment with strong team spirit, where we together take responsibility for making Gotland even greener. Want to know more about us and our work? Please visit www.gotland.se/avfall. Your duties As a sanitation driver in Visby city center, you play a central role in keeping the city clean, pleasant, and sustainable. You are Region Gotland's face to the public and have daily contact with both residents and businesses when you collect food and residual waste. This is work that makes a difference—both for the environment and for preserving our shared cultural heritage. The duties consist mainly of collecting and transporting waste with a rear-loading garbage truck. You use vehicle computers and RFID equipment in your daily work, report deviations, and are responsible for basic maintenance and inspection of the vehicle and its attachments. The work is often done together with colleagues, but also requires you to be self-directed and take responsibility for performing the job in a safe and careful manner. Because you move through Visby's narrow alleys and historic quarters, it is important that you drive responsibly and carefully. In addition to the above duties, other tasks may occur based on the needs of the operation. Who are you? We are looking for someone who has a Class C driver's license, valid YKB certification, and training in work on roads. Experience from similar work is a merit, as is knowledge of the EDP Mobile system. You have a service-oriented and responsible work approach, are accustomed to physical work, and feel comfortable both collaborating with colleagues and working independently. We warmly welcome your application! Why choose Region Gotland? We are the island's largest employer—with over 200 different professions and over 6,800 employees in Sweden's only combined region and municipality.
