We are now seeking a personal assistant for our client in Burgsvik for a temporary position at 68% until summer 2027, with the possibility of extension. The assignment involves assisting a man in his 70s living in Burgsvik. The man has his own carpentry workshop that he uses frequently. Perfect for you if you enjoy working with your hands and are handy. The man uses a wheelchair, so transfers are part of the work. Assistive equipment is available at the workplace. Working hours are 7:30 AM–10:30 PM both weekdays and weekends. Your tasks include supporting the man in his daily life and assisting with: - Personal hygiene - Meal preparation - Transfers - Exercise routines - Outings and visits outside the home - Helping in the man's workshop You will be hired as a temporary worker on an hourly basis. This means you can control your own working hours and work as needed. There are opportunities to transition to a fixed schedule if the personal fit feels right between you and the client. As a personal assistant, you provide individually tailored support to a person with a disability in their daily life. Work is performed in the client's home and in other environments where the client spends time. Tasks vary based on the client's needs and may include personal care, support with daily routines, transfers, and accompaniment during activities and errands. There is also the possibility of working with multiple clients at different locations around Gotland. Qualifications We are looking for you who: - Preferably have experience working as a personal assistant - Are responsible, attentive, and maintain a professional demeanor - Respect the client's self-determination and are comfortable adapting - Have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written - Have an interest in or experience with carpentry/woodcraft, as the client has a workshop at home - Hold a driver's license and have access to your own car - Are able to work flexible hours Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability as well as respect for the client's self-determination and personal integrity.
