About Solbacken Solbacken is a residential care home for children ages 10-14 with psychosocial and/or neuropsychiatric difficulties, children with complex behavioral problems, and children with externalizing behaviors. We provide treatment based on CBT principles, low-affect interaction, and environmental therapeutic approaches – where every situation is seen as a learning opportunity. Solbacken has six beds. Treatment is conducted in close collaboration with the facility's psychologist, child psychiatrist, and other professionals within Amplius's specialist team. About the Role As a treatment educator at Solbacken residential care home, you have a primary contact person assignment – you are a safe, stable, and present adult who helps the child create structure, safety, and predictability in daily life. You are an important person for the child and have a significant impact on the child's quality of life. You need to have the ability to build a close and trusting relationship, see beyond the child's behavior, and understand underlying needs. A gentle, respectful, and caring approach is combined with clarity, boundary-setting, and accountability. Being able to meet children in affect with low-affect interaction is a fundamental requirement for working with us. You should also be able to meet children's difficulties in a professional, empathetic, and non-judgmental manner.
