Technical Specialist in Electrical and Automation
You're the person others call when the electrical systems, controls, or instruments aren't behaving as they should. You thrive when troubleshooting, finding the root cause, and getting the facility back up and running. You enjoy understanding how the entire process fits together and appreciate a role where you can use both your technical expertise and your judgment. Now we're seeking a technical specialist in electrical and automation for our combined heat and power plant in Strängnäs. This isn't a pure PLC role and not a traditional electrician role either. It's a broad specialist role where you become a key person in our work to develop and ensure the operation of our entire electrical installation and automation solutions. A role where your expertise makes a difference At the combined heat and power plant in Strängnäs, we produce district heating, electricity, and steam for both residents and industries in the local area. We are a small team with short decision-making paths and work closely together to keep the facility safe, stable, and efficient. We're expanding our maintenance organization right now and we're looking for you to be part of that journey. With us, you'll receive great trust, broad technical responsibility, and the opportunity to influence how we move forward. Read, update, and develop electrical and circuit diagrams. Plan and coordinate contractors on major work and modifications. Participate in projects, improvement initiatives, and technical investments. Act as requirements setter and technical contact with our PLC and automation suppliers. Contribute to developing our maintenance organization and our working methods. PLC programming is performed by external specialists. Your role instead is to understand the systems, ensure the right solutions, and be the technical link between operations and our partners. We believe you... ...have several years of experience from process industry, combined heat and power, energy facilities, or other industrial operations where electrical, instrumentation, and control systems are a natural part of everyday work. You don't need to know everything, but you have broad technical understanding and enjoy solving problems where multiple disciplines meet. We believe you have experience with: Industrial troubleshooting in electrical and automation. Control and regulation technology. Instrumentation and process-related equipment. Electrical diagrams and technical documentation. Collaboration with contractors and suppliers. If you've worked at a combined heat and power plant or other process facility, that's a plus, but the most important thing is that you enjoy the combination of technology, problem-solving, and responsibility. Why choose us? There are many companies looking for technicians. With us you get something that's harder to find. You become part of a small team where we know each other, help each other, and have short lines to decisions. Here you won't get a narrow specialist role where you only handle a small part of the process; instead, you'll work broadly, influence working methods, and help develop our operations. We're looking for someone who wants to stay for the long term, become an important part of the team, and help shape the future of the combined heat and power plant in Strängnäs. With us you also get: Work on a mission vital to society where your experience is needed Become part of a small and cohesive team Be close to both the technology and the decisions The opportunity to influence how we develop our working methods A workplace where people help each other and have fun together Generous working time reduction Wellness allowance Good insurance and employment terms Do you recognize yourself?
