About the Job We are looking for a committed principal who works long-term and strategically with clear goals together with staff to create the best possible education for students at Lane-Ryrs School. All new principals in primary schools are offered a mentor and an introduction plan. Primary school is led by two department heads, one responsible for primary school grades F-6 and after-school care, and one responsible for primary school grades 7-9 and adapted primary school. The principal group comprises approximately 26 unit managers and principals. Lane-Ryrs School is a smaller unit with around 175 students and approximately 20 employees. The school is located in the scenic area of Lane-Ryr. In recent years, Lane-Ryrs School has undergone changes in structures and organization to create a sustainable organization. Currently, work is underway to further develop the quality of instruction with a focus on student learning. Here, a new principal needs to take over and continue developing forms for collegial learning with a focus on student results, together with teachers and student support services. As manager of the seven school librarians and with responsibility for cultural offerings within primary school and adapted primary school, you drive the overall development of school libraries and cultural offerings in the administration. A library plan for primary school has been developed, and the next step is to begin working based on that plan. Work Tasks The principal leads and develops their area of responsibility and plays a crucial role in the school's results and pedagogical development. The principal has overall responsibility for leading and coordinating pedagogical work, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment, and promoting children's and students' learning, development, and well-being.
