In Lysekil Municipality's meal service, we prepare food that contributes to health, well-being, and learning. Every day we serve nutritious and sustainable meals to children and students in our preschools and schools. We are now seeking an engaged cook for one of our food preparation kitchens. About the Position As a cook, you will work together with your colleagues to plan, prepare, and serve high-quality meals. You will participate in the entire production process and contribute to developing our meals and work methods. The work tasks include: Preparation and serving of meals Special diets and allergen-free meals Ordering and receiving goods Quality control and food hygiene according to HACCP Dishwashing, cleaning, and other kitchen tasks as needed Documentation in the operation's digital systems Active work to reduce food waste and promote sustainable meals Who Are You? You have a genuine interest in cooking and enjoy working with meals that make a difference for our guests. You are responsible, quality-conscious, and work well in collaboration with both colleagues and other professionals. We believe that you: Are engaged and service-oriented Enjoy working in a team Are flexible and solution-focused Have a good manner and contribute to a positive work environment Work in a structured manner and can prioritize in a sometimes fast-paced environment Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Cook training or other training that the employer deems equivalent Experience working in large kitchens, restaurants, or public meal services Knowledge of food hygiene, quality control, and HACCP Knowledge of special diets and allergens Good computer skills Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Lysekil Municipality works to ensure safe and secure operations. Therefore, background checks are conducted in connection with certain recruitments.
