You provide support, service, and care to people, primarily elderly, who need your help to manage their daily lives. Your work is about creating safety, dignity, and quality of life. In this role, you meet people with different needs, and sometimes people living with mental health issues or substance abuse problems. It requires both attentiveness and professional conduct – and gives you the opportunity to positively impact people's lives. Home care in Uddevalla municipality is investing in the future by continuously developing and implementing digital solutions. Our goal is to enable people receiving home care to remain in their homes as long as possible – with safety and quality in their everyday lives. As an employee, you receive a work phone as an important tool for communication and planning. Duties • You will create a safe everyday life for our service users through good care and support. • The support can take different forms based on the individual's needs and wishes. It can involve helping with personal care, preparing meals, etc. • We work based on the individual's needs at the center (IBIC) and structured documentation. You will document events regarding service users and write implementation plans. • You will also perform health and medical care tasks after delegation from a nurse. About the position As a nursing assistant in home care night shift, you are a key person in creating safety and dignity for our service users during the night. You provide professional care and support where it is needed most, and become part of a dedicated team with an important mission – to make a difference every night. At night, staff drive between visits to our service users, and the basic rule is that two people always travel together in a car to create safety for both service users and staff. The position mainly involves night shifts, with some evening shifts. By request, there is also the possibility of day shifts when the activity allows. You work every other weekend. As a nursing assistant in home care night shift, you will: - Belong to one of four geographic areas in Uddevalla. - Cooperate with the safety alarm system to quickly provide help in case of acute needs. - Contribute to the development of night activities together with colleagues and management. - Strengthen integrated care by integrating day and night home care, to ensure continuity and wholeness in care for service users. We are looking for someone who - Is responsible, loyal, and has a professional approach. - Is solution-oriented and confident in making decisions. - Is flexible and has good collaboration skills. - Contributes to community and well-being in the workplace. - Has a desire to actively contribute to development and change work within night activities in home care, with a focus on creating seamless care and a strong user perspective. Qualifications - Is a trained nursing assistant. - Has at least 1 year of experience working in home care. - Holds a B-category driver's license and can drive in all weather and road conditions. Other This position is a rotating shift position, which mainly involves night shifts, with some evening shifts.
