Junior Technician Needed for Our Amazing Team in Luleå – Is It You?

Are you starting your career in technology and looking for a varied role where you have great opportunities to develop and try new things? Then you've come to the right place! Eltel has won new business and we need to strengthen our team in Luleå with more technicians!😊 What are my work tasks? ⚡👷‍♀️⚒️ As a technician with us, you maintain critical infrastructure; you build and service the communication networks of the future, plain and simple. The work tasks consist mainly of building property and office networks, installing outlets, setting up equipment – such as screens or projectors – the kind of things needed in an office environment. Examples of work tasks: Install fiber and copper networks Mount outlets and access points Install equipment in conference rooms Install data network cables to new workstations Install cable trays Terminate copper connections Troubleshooting Simple electrical work In some cases, lighter electrical work as well as welding and blowing of fiber may also occur. Work is usually performed indoors. As a technician, you have many different contacts; with our production planner who distributes and assigns work to available technicians, and with customers when needed. Sometimes you need to procure what's needed to solve the customer's problem yourself, and in that case, communication is A and O. You report time daily via phone or computer and report progress during and after completed work. Of course, you maintain close dialogue with our production planner and our customers so they stay updated on how the work is progressing. You work mainly in Luleå, but travel may occur as we always help each other in the team when needed. Why should I choose Eltel as my employer? 💫 We offer you a safe and well-functioning workplace with wonderful and competent colleagues, approximately 25 employees including 2 group managers (Niklas and Jonathan). We are a tight-knit team in Norrbotten that works both independently and together. We stand for work joy and focus on delivery! You report to group manager Niklas who has a straightforward and clear leadership style while being warm, considerate, and doesn't believe in micromanagement. What matters is that you do your thing with confidence! Working at Eltel means you're part of contributing to Sweden's critical infrastructure that enables both renewable energy and high-performance communication networks to function. With us, you get great variety in your work tasks and freedom along with significant responsibility. It's important to us that you enjoy and develop in your work; there are thus great opportunities to grow with us if you want – both within your role and by trying new things. Furthermore, we prioritize safety and offer a good work environment for all our employees. With our more than 20 years on the market and presence throughout Sweden, Eltel is a secure employer. But the absolute most important reason to work with us is all the lovely and competent colleagues! To succeed in this role, we believe you: Have a high school education with a technical focus or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way A genuine interest in technology Have good Swedish in speech and writing as well as good understanding of English Have a B driver's license for manual transmission As a person, you are engaged and do what it takes to solve the task and are driven by maintaining high customer satisfaction. You are independent and find it easy to communicate with both colleagues and customers. If you also like having fun at work and developing together with competent colleagues, then this role is perfect for you! We place great emphasis on personal suitability, and what you don't know, we can teach you! What's important to us is that we find the right person. 💫 The position is classified as a security position; therefore, an approved security clearance and Swedish citizenship is a requirement. Additional information The position is a full-time permanent employment starting with a 6-month probation period. Selection and interviews are ongoing, so don't delay your application. During the summer, feedback may take longer than usual, so we thank you in advance for your patience. The basis for employment is an approved background check (including, among other things, checks of legal disputes and financial status) as well as an approved security clearance. At Eltel, a wide variety of people work together; young and old, with different religions, nationalities, sexual orientations, and functional variations. This contributes to our success and pride.
