Do you want to play an active role in developing northern Sweden into a sustainable and competitive region in the midst of the energy transition and the attractive energy industry? Energikontor Norr supports Norrbotten's municipalities, public actors and SME companies in their strategic energy and climate work. We attract and drive EU-financed projects where we collaborate with municipalities, universities, companies and other actors for a more attractive, sustainable and competitive Norrbotten. About the role as hourly-employed Energy Engineer As an hourly-employed energy expert, you will work in some of our project teams together with senior colleagues and collaboration partners. You will have the opportunity to develop within the energy field and gain valuable experience from EU projects. We are now looking for two students at Luleå University of Technology who have a strong interest in energy transition and want to work part-time alongside their studies. Responsibilities: Provide expert knowledge on energy issues to our projects. The areas can cover everything from energy systems, energy efficiency, district heating, energy production, renewable energy such as solar, wind, hydropower and bioenergy, transport and mobility, electrification, sustainable energy use, electricity, energy transition, etc. NOTE: These are examples of areas. Conduct analyses and evaluations. Provide advice to companies, authorities and other organizations. To a lesser extent, educate and inform about energy issues through lectures, workshops and publications. Disseminate knowledge about energy solutions and sustainability. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including researchers, engineers, politicians and industry leaders, to promote energy transition. Qualifications: Studying at LTU (Energy Technology, Mechanical Engineering with energy focus, or similar). We would like you to be towards the end of your education. Drive and commitment. Strong analytical skills, good communication skills and ability to work in a team. Ability to think strategically and innovatively. Deep understanding of technical aspects of energy systems and energy solutions. Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new technologies and trends. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex and challenging situations. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and preferably Teams and online tools, as well as AI. Social and positive, can-do attitude, unpretentious, flexible team player, humble and solution-oriented. Meritorious but not required: Have taken courses specifically dealing with district heating, energy preparedness or mobility. Knowledge of Norrbotten's or Norrbotten municipalities' energy situation and facilities, for example through project work or similar. Previous experience of working with energy issues, energy efficiency or sustainability, consulting work or project management is meritorious but not a requirement for newly graduated. Experience of participating in project work in general or energy-related project work during studies or through internships. Knowledge of EU projects and externally financed projects.
