Group Manager Infrastructure at the Faculty of Law

Lund University was founded in 1666 and is consistently ranked as one of the world's leading institutions of higher education. The university has approximately 46,000 students and 8,500 employees in Lund, Helsingborg, and Malmö. We are united in our mission to understand, explain, and improve our world and people's conditions. About the IT and Infrastructure Department The department's mission includes both the faculty's IT operations, including operation and management of systems and IT environments, and the faculty's infrastructure in a broad sense, such as premises, furnishings, equipment, physical work environment, security, events, facility maintenance, and reception services. Following a period of interim management, the faculty has decided to establish a permanent group manager position for infrastructure within the department. The department is led by a department manager who reports to the faculty's prefect. The department manager has overall responsibility for the entire department and is operationally responsible for IT operations. As group manager for infrastructure, you will be responsible for the operational management of the infrastructure division, work in close cooperation with the department manager, and actively contribute to the department's operational development. Within the infrastructure area, there is one full-time expedition manager and two administrative assistants working part-time (40%) while pursuing their studies. The expedition manager is responsible for operational work within the facility management function, including mail and office supply handling, digital print production, and tasks related to the physical work environment. The administrative assistants primarily work with infrastructure matters and events, but also work closely with the group manager on planning, coordination, and follow-up. The faculty's reception, which is a business-critical and extensive operation open seven days a week, also falls under infrastructure. The reception is staffed by 14 assistants working part-time (25%) while pursuing their studies and supervised in daily operations by three coordination assistants (50%). The assistant organization is characterized by a high degree of independence. Duties and Responsibilities To strengthen the leadership, coordination, and development of the faculty's infrastructure operations, we are now seeking an operational manager who can combine operational responsibility with employer responsibility. You will have employer responsibility for approximately 20 employees: one expedition manager, two administrative assistants, and the reception's assistant organization with approximately 17 employees, including three coordination assistants. Work at the Interface Between Infrastructure and IT The Faculty of Law has chosen to combine IT and infrastructure into a common department because several business-critical functions lie at the interface between these areas. This includes printer environments, AV technology, and integrated alarm and access control systems. We are therefore looking for someone who not only has experience in traditional facility management or physical infrastructure, but also has solid experience with IT, technology, and system-related matters and the operational breadth required to work operatively in an environment where these areas partially overlap. Qualifications You should have: management experience and documented leadership training documented experience in work supervision in operations where employees work with a high degree of independence and personal responsibility documented experience in establishing and further developing structures, routines, and working methods solid experience with IT, technology, and system-related matters, as well as documented experience working at the interface between IT, technology, and physical infrastructure documented experience representing the operation in dialogue and negotiation with suppliers, contractors, and property owners documented experience in facility management and administration documented experience working with physical work environment, safety, fire protection, and risk assessments very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written Personal Qualities To succeed in this role, you need to be a relationship builder who collaborates well with many different groups, from students and teachers to technical staff, external partners, and government functions. You are proactive, responsive, and action-oriented, with strong organizational ability and comfort working in a complex operation with many points of contact. You identify opportunities for improvement in the operation's working methods, physical environment, and safety work, and drive change independently. You have good understanding of the special conditions that characterize operations and the work environment in academia. Your leadership is characterized by accountability, clear communication, and present support. You build trust through openness and transparency, draw on your employees' experience and creativity, and contribute to an open and safe work climate. You are prepared to work operatively when needed. Since the group includes assistants working part-time alongside their studies and remaining for a limited time, you need to combine structure, support, and trust. You are confident in supervising an independent and competent group where work is characterized by personal responsibility, high standards, and many points of contact. You have the ability to create continuity, quality, and knowledge transfer in an organization with high staff turnover. You see the big picture easily, can shift between different perspectives, and create working solutions in cooperation with others. You don't need to know everything, but you are curious, unpretentious, and open to learning new things. Special weight will be given to personal suitability. Other Information The job posting has been shortened on Platsbanken. Read the full posting here: https://www.lu.se/vacancies Employment begins October 1, 2026, or by agreement. Nurse for the Vascular Surgery Department, Unit 5

We are looking for a new colleague to join our wonderful work team. Are you looking for a varied and patient-centered role at a small and familial clinic with many different operations under one roof? Then we might be looking for you. Duties In vascular surgery, we care for seriously ill patients with vascular surgical conditions, both acute and elective, but they also have medical conditions. This gives you broad knowledge of disease within both surgery and medicine. Our patients are often multimorbid with kidney failure, heart failure, diabetes, etc. We are therefore often a good springboard for future careers in acute care such as ICU, anesthesia, and ambulance services. We have a high level of monitoring and extensive medical equipment. On the vascular side, we operate on large blood vessels such as the aorta, carotid artery, and arteries in the legs. Patients are prepared with us before surgery and then return for postoperative care. Wound care is also a major part of our work, which can include necrotic, venous, and surgical wounds. Some patients also need compression bandaging, and we also use vacuum therapy for difficult-to-heal wounds. On the ENT side, it is common to see nosebleeds, thyroid operations, and patients who for some reason have developed airway obstruction and need a tracheostomy. You gain broad competence in this as we regularly have these patients in the unit. About the Workplace Here in vascular surgery, which is its own clinic, you are welcomed to a workplace with a familial and open work environment. The clinic has 14 patient beds. These are distributed among vascular surgery patients, eye patients, and ear-nose-throat patients. Our operations also include arterial and venous outpatient clinics close to the unit, unit-based surgical operations, clinical research, and aortic screening. How Does Teamwork Look? In vascular surgery, we have close collaboration within the team. There is always a doctor available in the unit, and several doctors are often present during rounds. We value our close collaboration and have a very familial atmosphere where everyone's perspectives are heard. Our managers work very closely with us in patient care. We have rounds both in the morning and afternoon, which gives us a good overview of our patients as a team and ensures a safe and quick care process. Since rapid mobilization is a very important part after all vascular surgery, there is a physiotherapist assigned to the unit who participates daily in the teamwork. What Development Opportunities Are There? In addition to our care unit, we also have an arterial clinic, venous clinic, and a unit-owned operating room. We do not have staff employed only at the clinic/operating room—rather, staff from the unit are trained at the clinic or operating room after some time working in the unit. This provides solid professional development and an even better understanding of the patient flow within specialist care. At the arterial clinic, nurses work alongside biomedical scientists and doctors. Here we see everything from patients referred from primary care, acute visits, and follow-up visits of treated patients or patients we follow for any reason. At the venous clinic, nursing assistants and doctors work together. This clinic focuses mainly on difficult-to-heal leg ulcers and compression bandaging. In our own operating room, located in the unit, we perform day surgery for varicose veins. A nurse, a nursing assistant, and a doctor work there one day a week and operate on approximately 6 patients per shift. For us, it is important that you feel good and enjoy your work, so we offer you: - customized introductory program so you feel safe and secure in your professional role - opportunities for professional development through, for example, internal training - a workplace for different stages of life, with the possibility of flexible working hours within certain limits - free training at our fully equipped gym - wellness allowance of 3,000 kr/year More information about your benefits can be found here: https://regionvastmanland.se/jobba-med-oss/dina-formaner/ Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or in the final stages of your education, preferably with experience in the profession. If you have previous experience working in similar operations, that is a merit. Since you will need to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues in this role, good Swedish language skills are required. Other language skills are a plus. As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. Since work can change quickly in various ways, you need to be flexible and able to maintain your calm and focus in new situations. You have a good ability to structure your own work and take responsibility for your tasks. We work in a team and see collaboration and clarity as very important ingredients for success. Since we work closely with both patients and relatives, empathy is an important ingredient in your daily work. We place great importance on personal suitability. Terms of Employment Permanent employment, full-time. Rotation day-evening-night shifts. Start date by agreement. We apply individual and differentiated salary setting. Application Welcome to submit your application by August 30, 2026. When you apply, you should only attach your CV and preferably relevant grades/certificates. You will also be asked to answer a number of questions that are part of our selection assessment. We do not use personal letters in our recruitment process.
