The Business Area for Children, Youth, and Family in Hägersten-Älvsjö consists of units including: reception, children, children and youth, youth, foster care, and family support. Our business area is led by an area manager and six unit managers. Together we move forward and help create a social service that is modern and characterized by high quality. The Foster Care Unit consists of three groups led by two group leaders and a coordinator. One group consists of foster care secretaries, recruiters, and family treatment specialists, as well as a group of child secretaries and staff providing administrative support/case management support. The third group consists of contact secretaries. We also have an ongoing initiative with enhanced support to foster families where two family treatment specialists work in the unit. The unit's staff have many years of experience and various competencies. One of our child secretaries is changing positions within the unit and we are now looking for you to work as a child secretary. Now we are looking for you with experience working in authority functions, who together with knowledgeable and committed colleagues wants to work to ensure our children have the best possible time during their foster care placement. What we offer To support family care secretaries and child secretaries in conducting high-quality social work, we have developed case management-focused support through an administrator and special emergency foster care case managers. With us you have good opportunities for professional development based on the unit's competency supply plan and you are actively involved in developing high-quality support services. To give you a good start in your new workplace, we place great emphasis on your introduction and you will receive support from our competent mentors. In addition to regular case supervision with management, you will receive external supervision every four weeks in Gamla stan. We are located in fresh, newly renovated premises at Telefonplan. Your role As a child secretary, your role includes following up on placements for children and young people aged 0–20 placed in foster homes according to the Social Services Act or the Care of Young Persons Act. This primarily occurs through home visits to the foster families, individual conversations with the placed child, and conversations with guardians. You will have contact and collaborate with networks and other important people around the placed child. The work includes travel both in the local area and to other parts of Sweden. You will have contact with the children's parents and networks, foster families, schools, and other professional contacts in close collaboration with foster care secretaries. Your competence and experience We are looking for you who have: • a degree in social work • at least 1 year of current experience working with authority functions in children and youth services • good ability to express yourself in Swedish both orally and in writing • good knowledge of legislation within the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons Act It is meriting if you have: • current experience working in foster care • Signs of Safety • a B driver's license As a child secretary, you need to be a professional, confident, and stable person. You have the ability to build good relationships with children and their families, as well as others you collaborate with. You have good collaboration skills, are structured, and organize your work proactively. You are flexible and can quickly adapt and reprioritize based on new circumstances. You are engaged and have a strong drive to do what is best for our clients and the organization, take initiative, appreciate a varied pace, and want to contribute to development and new thinking.
