We are now seeking an experienced section chief who wants to lead a team within the IT department that manages IT infrastructure and network solutions. Together with us in the department, you will contribute to enabling efficient information management, both in the short and long term. Primary Responsibilities We offer meaningful work where you daily contribute to increased security for Sweden, total defense, and the Armed Forces. You will be a section chief with personnel responsibility. The section develops and manages IT services within networks and infrastructure with high security requirements. MUST is largely a knowledge organization that depends on its employees. As a section chief at MUST, you are responsible for ensuring your employees have strong competence with self-determination and freedom in their work. You are of course a role model for both employees and other managers. Your responsibilities include management, developing employee competence, routines and work methods, production and delivery planning. Close collaboration takes place continuously with the department's other manager functions and you report to the department head. The work is partly both administrative and operational, with great emphasis on employees' abilities and resources, and you will lead the section's continued development toward short and long-term objectives. The work is varied and to succeed in your role you work together with experienced manager colleagues. Your responsibilities also include participating in and supporting the department and office's other operations. On-call duty and travel may occur. Who Are You? Qualifications - Current experience with IT infrastructure focused on networks - Management experience with personnel responsibility for at least 5 years - Relevant academic/post-secondary education in networks, data communication, system science or equivalent knowledge that the employer deems equivalent - Experience with process-oriented work methods - Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing - Category B driver's license Meritorious - Experience in resource planning and production management - Experience leading complex teams - Documented experience in technical project management - Understanding of the function and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls - Experience in information/IT security - Experience with IT infrastructure from the Armed Forces or another agency within total defense Other Information Employment form: Permanent Employment level: 100%, full-time Work location: Stockholm, on-site with very little/no possibility to work from home Start date: By agreement For information about the position or recruitment process, contact: [email protected], please write "Section Chief KT" in the subject line.
