ABOUT THE POSITION
The role includes pricing insurance/underwriting, profitability analysis, analysis of new segments and business opportunities in Sweden, Finland and the rest of Scandinavia, development of operational analysis tools and forecast models, and project management. Insurance is highly numbers-intensive, so your interest in and ability to structure, analyze and present information in an educational way is central to success in this role. You need to be (or have the potential to become) skilled at handling large amounts of data and drawing conclusions from them. We use Excel, SQL, R and Python for this.
The Analysis department has overall profitability responsibility and the tasks stand on three pillars: underwriting, renewals and other projects which can range from market analyses, development of new models to automations. The team currently consists of eleven people with backgrounds from KTH, LTH, Lund University, Uppsala University, Stockholm University and the Stockholm School of Economics.
WHO ARE YOU?
Requirements
· A degree as a civil engineer in, for example, Engineering Physics or Engineering Mathematics, or alternatively a master's degree containing substantial mathematics combined with good grades
· Language skills:
o Swedish: Fluent in speech and writing.
o Finnish: Good to fluent skills in speech and writing.
o English: Good to fluent skills in speech and writing, as it is our group language.
Meritorious
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to make well-founded decisions
· Experience and competence in SQL, R, Python, Matlab or equivalent
· Experience and competence in Excel
· Previous relevant experience in, for example, data science and insurance
· Good grades
