The Norrbotten Police Area is divided into four local police areas: Luleå/Boden, Northern Lapland, Piteå/Älvdal, and Eastern Norrbotten. At the police area level, there is also an investigation section, a response unit, and a dog unit. Additionally, there is a police area office.
The Northern Lapland Local Police Area is part of the Norrbotten Police Area. Within the local police area, there are intervention and crime prevention activities, an investigation group, and a support and service group.
We are now seeking a community police officer for the local police area, with primary responsibility for Kiruna Municipality.

DUTIES
As a community police officer, your main mission is to drive the Police Authority's crime prevention and security-building work at a strategic level in cooperation internally and externally with the municipality and the broader local community. The community police officer serves as a means to ensure that the Police Authority locally can meet the commitments made in cooperation agreements and citizen pledges, thus creating conditions for local police to work closer to citizens. You represent the police in this cooperation as a clear and accessible point of contact for the local police area.
As a community police officer, you have responsibility in the police's planning process, which means you have a central role in developing situation assessments in various time perspectives, cooperation agreements, and citizen pledges. You represent the entire Police Authority locally, both externally and internally, and work to strengthen public confidence in police activities. You are expected to take an active role in driving the development of operations forward together with your colleagues.
You will represent the police and cooperate with municipalities and other external partners.
The role offers great freedom to adapt your working methods according to the local situation assessments in the municipality. As a community police officer, you work closely with the local police area's management group and are expected to take your own initiatives based on the objectives that underpin the local police area's operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
This is an opportunity for you who have:
• a police degree according to Regulation (2014:1105) on police officer education with approved cadet training
• good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing
We consider it meritorious if you also have:
• experience in development work, projects, or similar
• experience in inter-agency cooperation
• completed training in crime prevention methods and local cooperation (internal police training), or courses in cooperation or cause analysis
Personal Qualities
As a community police officer, you are expected to have a service-oriented approach as well as an ability to get others to want to contribute to the common goals set at both local and national levels. Good communication skills are crucial; you need to be comfortable presenting material and speaking to groups as you will represent the local police area in media. You also need to have a good ability to see the Police Authority's operations from a comprehensive perspective. This requires a good ability to build relationships and cooperate with others. You also have a good ability to structure and prioritize within the role. We further expect you to contribute to an open and tolerant climate where diversity, equality, the state's core values, and the police's mission compass are a natural foundation.
We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
