Parish Educator for Hult-Edshult, Höreda, and Mellby
Join us! We are seeking someone who wants to work with children in parish ministry. We value someone who is confident in themselves and finds it exciting to meet all kinds of people from age 0 and up. This is a new position that has not existed before. It means you will take over established activities in the parishes, but the position also has great potential for developing new programs. In Hult and Höreda there is strong children's programming for lower and middle school, a children's choir, and excellent collaboration with schools. Many families with children live in the parishes, and there is interest in creating a group for stay-at-home parents with children. The parishes work ecumenically with the free churches in the area. Södra Vedbo pastorat covers a large geographic area, but your primary placement will be in Hult, Höreda, and Mellby. In the small local team, priests, musicians, children's leaders, and educators work closely together. You will also be part of the children, youth, and education unit where all educators and children's leaders in the pastorat collaborate. Approximately 1,200 people live in the parish. Mellby is a small rural parish but a vibrant one. It has a beautiful old church and a small parish hall. 366 people live in the parish.
