Functional Support is an operational area within the Welfare Administration. Part of the assignment is to implement decisions made according to the LSS law, primarily decisions regarding housing with special services, personal assistance, and daily activities. At Bjästa temporary group home, there is space for 7 residents. In the operations, a support pedagogue, support assistants, and support staff work in a team of a total of 10 employees. Support Assistant at Kroksta Group Home

Functional Support is an operational area within the welfare administration with the task of implementing decisions made under the LSS law, primarily decisions regarding housing with special services, personal assistance, and daily activities. The goal of the support provided is to promote equality in living conditions and full participation in community life so that individuals who have been granted support have the opportunity to live like others. Our work is carried out through individually tailored support of high quality and self-determination where good treatment permeates all activities. We are now looking for a committed and goal-oriented support assistant for Kroksta Group Home! This is a permanent position at 100% with start date by agreement. Working hours include days/evenings/weekends. We work with activity-based schedules, which means work may sometimes be conducted at other group homes in the municipality. Responsibilities You are responsible for working with the service user to establish and follow up on implementation plans, other social documentation, and other administrative tasks/areas of responsibility such as scheduling, purchase orders, health, and safety. Together with your colleagues, you will provide daily and planned support services and activities with the service user, and support and motivate them in everyday activities at home and during leisure time. This includes building trusting relationships with service users and being a good role model. You will ensure that support services are based on the individual needs of the service user, promote independence, participation, and are carried out with respect for the service user's integrity and self-determination. You help with, among other things, everyday chores and activities, personal hygiene, and medication. The work often means you may work alone and working hours are varying as we provide services during days, evenings, and weekends. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a secondary education (gymnasium) in one of the following: care and health program with specialization in functional disabilities or psychiatry children and leisure program with a focus on social work or educational work or other equivalent education that the employer considers sufficient. Experience working with challenging behavior is required. To work in care and health, you must be at least 18 years old. It is important that you have the ability to professionally interact with people based on their individual circumstances and needs.
