The Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a Fire Safety Inspector for our prevention unit.
The Fire and Rescue Service (Department of Fire and Rescue Services and Municipal Emergency Control Center) is part of the Administration and Management Office.
The Administration and Management Office works under the Municipal Executive Committee and is responsible for leading, coordinating, supporting, and monitoring overall municipal operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan (short-term and long-term) and conduct training and information sessions on fire prevention, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, traffic safety, and other areas within the framework of the Accident Prevention Act.
- Adapt certain training programs to meet client needs
- Provide advice and information to the public
- Serve as an ambassador for the Fire and Rescue Service's prevention efforts
- Participate in development work and projects
Qualifications
- Hold a driver's license with category B authorization.
- Be able to express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish.
We are Looking for Someone Who
- Has training in fire and rescue services, such as Accident Prevention, GriB certification, or similar relevant qualification.
- Has strong pedagogical abilities and enjoys speaking to groups.
- Is organized, service-oriented, and has a natural talent for building good relationships.
- Has experience in training or safety work (merits but not required).
- Has language skills beyond Swedish (merits).

As part of the interview process, we will conduct an identity check and verify citizenship. Accepted documents are passport, international ID card, driver's license plus personal certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency, or other ID documentation that confirms citizenship. For certain positions, an excerpt from the police's suspicion and criminal record register must be provided.
We welcome language skills in Finnish and/or one of the Sámi varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both Finnish and Sámi administrative areas.
