NCK is divided into a university division focused on research, education and information, and a clinical division with practice-oriented activities. The center is led by a director and is part of the Department of Women's and Children's Health (KBH). NCK strategically combines national work with research, education, communication and direct support to victims of violence. We operate four national support hotlines and chat services, as well as the Women's Peace Reception at Akademiska Hospital. Student Assistant for Kärraskolan Adapted Elementary School Subject Areas

Description Kärraskolan is an F-9 school located in central Kärra. It is surrounded by green spaces and has been largely rebuilt over the past few years. Approximately 820 students attend our school, of which 35 are in the adapted elementary program. To create a good learning environment, we focus on knowledge, safety, and joyful learning. All students should have the opportunity to develop according to their abilities and circumstances. Job Responsibilities We are now seeking a student assistant who wants to make a difference for our students at Kärraskolan's adapted elementary school. Our students follow the curriculum for subject areas. As a student assistant, you will be offered varied work in a professional team with multiple specialties. You participate in both pedagogical and social contexts throughout the school day, including after-school programs and LSS (special support services). Together with your colleagues, you will create a meaningful, joyful, and varied school and leisure time with pedagogical quality and with students at the center. You are an active and important part in shaping and developing our learning environments. Your work tasks include: Direct student support and modeling work with focus on approach and attitude. Support in teaching situations, care, and personal hygiene based on the target group's needs. Active work to develop students' communication through AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and digital tools. Participation in swimming and water activities. Qualifications Formal Qualifications We are looking for someone with at least upper secondary education, preferably with a focus that has given you knowledge of our target group, such as in support services, child and leisure care, nursing assistant, or similar. You have experience and knowledge of diagnoses within autism spectrum and intellectual disability. You can express yourself clearly in speech and writing, including in communication notebooks between home and school. Furthermore, we would like you to: Have good swimming skills to support students in water environments. Be confident in using digital tools and have knowledge of (or willingness to learn) AAC. It is highly desirable if you have tactile communication skills. Have good physical health and mobility as the work is active.
