JOB DUTIES The activities are responsible for ensuring that people with functional variation receive support and care to be able to live as independently as possible. Working hours are distributed across day, evening, weekends, and night shifts. Group Homes There are currently six different group homes within Vimmerby town. In a group home, 4-8 people live in their own apartments. These people need around-the-clock staff support. The work essentially involves supporting people to live as independently as possible. This can include cooking, assisting with personal hygiene, shopping with the person, etc. Supported Housing There are currently three different supported housing facilities within Vimmerby town. Supported housing is a middle ground between completely independent living in one's own apartment and a group home. Each supported housing facility has a number of apartments connected to it. Working in supported housing involves providing support and motivation in the person's own home based on their implementation plan. Day Activities Within day activities, we offer meaningful occupation for people within the LSS framework that contributes to personal development and promotes participation in society. The activities are conducted with different approaches to suit the individual. Consideration is given based on the person's circumstances. Working hours are scheduled during daytime, Monday through Friday. Short-term/Leisure Care Work with children and youth who have functional variation. Activities are conducted so that basic needs for supervision, rest, movement, activity, meals, and other care adapted to functional variation and age are met. The facility is staffed around the clock; working hours are distributed across day/evening/night/weekends, as well as dedicated night shifts. Personal Assistance Working as a personal assistant means providing support and motivation to the person in their home. The work essentially involves supporting people to live as independently as possible. This can include cooking, assisting with personal hygiene, shopping with the person, etc. Working alone is common when employed as a personal assistant. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: • Is at least 18 years old • Has education in Care and Health Program, Leisure Activities Leader Program, Children and Leisure Program, Treatment Education Program, or equivalent education. • Experience from the field is an advantage. • Class B driver's license is desirable.
