We are now looking for two support assistants/residential assistants for our group home on Lännavägen in Visby.
Your responsibilities
As a support assistant in a group home, you work together with your colleagues to support service users in daily life and give them the opportunity to live as independently and participatory as possible. Support is adapted to each person's needs, and we place great emphasis on self-determination, integrity and respectful treatment.
The work is both varied and responsible, where you work based on a pedagogical approach with the service user in focus. We work based on IBIC (individual's needs at the center) and the role includes contact person responsibilities, which means that you, among other things, work with implementation plans, maintain contact with relatives and coordinate services according to LSS and HSL.
The position involves work according to a schedule with day, evening and weekend shifts as well as sleeping on-call duty. The schedule includes some "green tours" which means that you, if needed and after introduction, should also be available for other units and activities.
For the position of support assistant in care services, the starting salary range is 26,800–34,000 kronor per month. For the position of residential assistant in care services, the starting salary range is 24,000–30,000 kronor per month. We apply individual salary setting. Final salary is determined based on education, relevant experience, competence and responsibility in the role, as well as in consideration of applicable collective agreements.
Who are you?
If you are applying as a support assistant, you have completed upper secondary education with a focus on care and health services, children and leisure, or are educated as a social pedagogue and/or personal assistant.
If you are applying as a residential assistant, you have completed upper secondary education or have work experience that the employer deems equivalent.
It is meritorious if you have previously worked in care for people with disabilities and have experience with challenging behavior, salutogenic approach and low-affect management. A B-category driving license is desirable.
We are looking for someone who is initiative-taking and flexible, with the ability to see what needs to be done and adapt to different situations. You have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive work environment, while feeling secure in taking on your own responsibility.
With your pedagogical insight, you create understanding and structure in everyday life, and with your creativity you find solutions that strengthen the individual's independence and development. You have a responsive and respectful approach and see possibilities in every encounter.
It is important that you are confident in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as all communication and documentation takes place in Swedish.
