The Disability Care Services in Umeå Municipality aims, through proximity and collaboration, to be a resource that releases and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life. Geografigränd is a service residence under the LSS Act with a focus on mental disabilities. The operation consists of seven apartments clustered in a nearby area. In your work, you will be based in a shared apartment that contains an office/on-call room and opportunities to gather for joint activities. Individual support is provided primarily in the resident's own apartment. Himlastigen is a group residence under the LSS Act focused on socio-psychiatric disabilities. The operation, which is a new construction, has six residential places. All residents live in their own fully-equipped apartments and have access to a shared kitchen and living room. We are now looking for you to work as a support assistant with us! Your Tasks As a support assistant, you provide individual, social, and practical support to enable and utilize each person's own abilities and thereby create conditions for independence. You work to involve the individual in daily activities such as cleaning, laundry, and cooking. You are also there to contribute to meaningful leisure time and/or activities. The work includes contact with other actors within healthcare, administrators and authorities, as well as administrative tasks such as documentation and the creation and follow-up of implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, weekend, and on-call night shifts. Co-planning occurs between our operations within Disability Care Services. About You As a person, you are confident, curious, and engaged. You have good collaboration skills and professional conduct toward residents, colleagues, and other networks around our residents. It is important that you share our values, work toward established goals, and take responsibility for the shared work environment. To create security and stability for those living with us and to manage threatening and violent situations, it is important that you follow procedures and cooperate within the work team. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. To be able to communicate with residents, relatives, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Requirements - Care and nursing program, child and leisure program, or other education that we consider equivalent - Experience working in support/care and nursing - Experience with mental disabilities and/or NPF diagnoses - Experience with low-affective communication and managing acting-out behavior/threats and violence Pets are present and smoking occurs at the residences, so you should not be allergic.
