The State Inspection of Defense Intelligence Activities (Siun) is seeking a junior legal counsel. Siun is a small government agency that oversees defense intelligence operations conducted by the Swedish Armed Forces, the Swedish Armed Forces Radio Service, the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration, and the Total Defense Research Institute to ensure they are conducted lawfully. Siun also supervises, through a special decision-making body—the Committee for Control upon Request of Individuals—whether individuals have been subject to unlawful signals intelligence. Siun is led by a board that makes the agency's decisions. Siun's office supports the board's work. About the Role As a legal counsel at Siun, you will participate in the agency's oversight activities and, together with your colleagues in the office, prepare inspections at the defense intelligence authorities. You will conduct and present inspection preparations, legal investigations, and propose draft decisions.
