About the Operation
Ophthalmology in Dalarna is seeking an engaged and curious physician who wants to become a specialist in ophthalmology. Here you will have the opportunity to develop into the future eye specialist in an operation with high expertise, breadth, and good team cohesion!
Ophthalmology Dalarna is responsible for specialized eye care in the region and offers a broad and developmental operation. We conduct outpatient care, surgery, and emergency services with a large and varied patient base. We consist of a regional eye clinic in Falun as well as outpatient clinics in Borlänge, Ludvika, and Mora, and an operating department in Falun. We have extensive outpatient operations with approximately 60,000 visits/year. The majority of our surgical operations consists of approximately 4,000 cataract surgeries, of which 95% are performed on an outpatient basis.
Ophthalmology is a specialty in strong development. We continuously work on improvements and development to meet future needs.

The work includes, among other things:
Outpatient work with investigation, diagnosis, and treatment of eye diseases
Handling of acute and scheduled patient visits
Participation in operations
Contribution to emergency services
Collaboration with other professionals in ophthalmology
Participation in training, improvement work, and operational development
You will receive close support from specialists and colleagues throughout your ST training and will be given good opportunities to grow both professionally and personally.
Qualifications

hold Swedish medical license
have a genuine interest in ophthalmology
have good communication and collaboration skills
are responsible, engaged, and organized
enjoy working both independently and in a team
