About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. The Fosie operational area consists of Fosie Prison, located on the outskirts of Malmö and built in 1986. Operations are constantly evolving, and a remand facility is expected to open in fall/winter 2026. Currently, the prison has 173 places for male inmates in security class 2, managed by approximately 300 employees and 10 managers who oversee, lead, and develop operations. When the remand facility opens, there will be 56 places for remand prisoners and 101 prison places for men. Job Description As a correctional officer, you work in a team with other professions to maintain a safe and secure facility and motivate clients toward a life without crime. The role of correctional officer involves a structured and routine-based approach with risk assessment and security awareness as focus areas. Your daily work includes locking and unlocking residential units, inspections of premises, and supervision, as well as conducting conversations and preparing inmates for release. The work is varied and offers many development opportunities for those seeking continued employment. The probationary period begins with three weeks of local orientation at the prison. Nurse Day/Evening Shift - Department 63 Torsby Hospital

Here we work closely together across department boundaries with the patient in focus and with short decision-making processes that enable quick and safe care. Your Workplace At Torsby Hospital there are three care units, and we collaborate closely, working across all departments as needed based on requirements. The hospital is clinic-free, so you will gain broad knowledge in patient care. Department 63 is a reopened unit under development with the aim of expanding the number of beds over time.
