As unit manager for the Review Unit, you will have a central role in leading and developing the operation and contributing to legally sound, efficient and high-quality government administration. The Unit's Mission The Review Unit is part of the National Assessment and Planning Department, which comprises approximately 1,000 employees. The Review Unit has approximately 60 employees distributed across three sections. Each section has both case officers and qualified case officers. We are located in Östersund. The unit has an important mission to contribute to legally sound and efficient government administration by handling reviews of the Swedish Public Employment Service's decisions. The unit also supports the authority's work with legal determinations by contributing analyses, feedback and lessons learned from decisions made. The assignment also includes reviewing and analyzing decisions, reporting insights back to the operation, and handling the submission of appeals to court. As unit manager, you lead this work and create the conditions for an operation characterized by quality, development and continuous improvement. Job Description As unit manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, budget, work environment and personnel. You lead and develop the operation both strategically and operationally towards set goals and ensure that the operation is conducted with high quality, efficiency and legal security. You are responsible for creating clear conditions for the unit's managers and employees through goals, priorities and follow-up. You lead and develop the operation in line with the authority's mission and strategic direction. You are part of the department's management group and work closely with the department manager and other unit managers to contribute to the development and goal achievement of the entire department. Your assignment is to: Drive results through clear goals, follow-up and improvement work Create engagement through inspiration, dialogue and participation Develop leaders by coaching and creating conditions for section managers to succeed in their assignments Build a trusting culture characterized by openness, security and responsibility Cooperate effectively internally and externally, including with safety representatives and union representatives As a person, you are a confident and clear leader with a strong focus on results and strive to create value for job seekers and employers. You are clear and inspiring in your communication and can clearly describe the target image and why the assignment is important. You have experience leading in complex and changing organizations and have an interest in societal issues where you understand how our operation contributes in a broader context. The position involves handling classified information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you who work for us have high security awareness. More about working with us Basic Requirements for the Position At least one year of current experience as a manager with responsibility for operations and personnel At least three years of experience in qualified investigative work, of which at least one year in public service Other Merits for the Position Experience as a manager of ensuring legal security and uniform application of regulations in an operation Experience as a manager leading operations that include legal assessments and legally sound government administration Experience as a manager in state operations Well versed in working with both job seekers and employers within the Swedish Public Employment Service The state's values guide us in our daily work.
