The Workplace
Addiction Center Stockholm is the Region Stockholm clinic for specialized addiction care, offering one of Sweden's broadest ranges of services in this field. Each year we meet approximately 22,000 patients. Through a holistic approach and coordinated efforts, we work to improve the quality of life for patients and their loved ones.
We are now seeking a psychologist for the Northern district's outpatient care, with placement at the Lidingö addiction treatment center.
The center offers treatment for people with harmful use and addiction to alcohol, drugs, medications, and gambling. Work is conducted in close collaboration with social services, psychiatry, primary care, and other healthcare providers.
The Role
As a psychologist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team where collaboration and coordination are central to meeting patients' complex needs. Your tasks include:
Psychological assessments, including personality assessments and neuropsychological evaluations.
Psychological treatment on an individual basis and group participation in shared care processes for patients with comorbidity.
Patient and family education.
The work is characterized by a team-oriented approach, where we together develop the content and quality of care. You contribute to continuous improvement work where we develop methods, processes, and collaboration to create more cohesive and person-centered care.
Qualifications
Licensed psychologist.
Experience with neuropsychiatric evaluations and work within psychiatry and addiction care is desirable.

For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County healthcare area:
- background checks are conducted prior to employment decisions according to SLSO's general guidelines for background checks upon hiring.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new hire health examination according to applicable directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional licensing, good knowledge of Swedish is required at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The same requirement is guideline for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
