The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation—preschool, primary school, and child and student health—we are here for children and students. Together, we shape the future. Göthriks Preschool is located in Grimeton, 10 kilometers east of Varberg. The preschool has three units and accommodates 60 children. In the Radion and Sändaren units, children ages 1–4 attend. In the Masten unit, all 5-year-old children attend, and this is also where five-year-olds from Hunnestad and Ekebo preschools come. The preschool has proximity to both forest and meadow. Ekebo Preschool is located in Gödestad, approximately 10 kilometers east of Varberg. There is one unit with space for 17 children ages 1–4. The preschool follows a work approach and philosophy inspired by Reggio Emilia's educational philosophy and has proximity to several beautiful nature areas. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You will work as a childcare provider in the personnel and quality pool at the preschools. This means you will be assigned to the home unit that needs staff on any given day. You work according to the personnel pool agreement (attachment D) and your response time is 30 minutes. Work may vary between different home units during a work week. As a childcare provider with us, you are one of the most important adults in the children's lives. You ensure that their day at preschool is fun, safe, and educational. Key responsibilities: • Create a safe and inspiring everyday where each child is met with competence and warmth, and where you actively contribute to an environment where everyone feels included. • Support children who need extra help. You find approaches that work for each individual and work closely with your colleagues to ensure all children thrive. • Build trusting relationships with children's guardians, where together you create the best conditions for the child's development and needs at preschool. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is responsive to children's needs and has a natural ability to create security, where an inclusive approach is a given so that everyone feels at home in the group. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy contributing to a positive team. Since the preschool day is constantly changing, you are solution-focused and meet small and large challenges with a positive attitude and calm confidence. Working in a substitute pool requires you to be a flexible person who is comfortable changing work environments and can quickly adapt. Since you will be working in different teams, we consider it self-evident that you work well with others and are receptive to others' suggestions and opinions. We are looking for someone who: • Has secondary school education in the Children and Recreation Program, or equivalent as assessed by the employer to be equivalent. It is an advantage if you have: • Experience with children with special needs • Experience working continuously with pedagogical documentation. We place great importance on personal suitability. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 3–6 months, start date: August 31, 2026. Start date by agreement, end date: December 23, 2026.
